Municipal Projects
The Corners - Wadsworth Widening
Point worked extensively with the City of Wheat Ridge and CDOT to provide a widening design for Wadsworth Boulevard between West 35th Avenue and West 38th Avenue, adjacent to The Corners development. The City was undergoing a PEL study on Wadsworth Boulevard for future full build out. Point, along with the City, determined the extent of the full build out and this project was constructed to that limit for ease of construction when the Wadsworth Boulevard project occurred. Point provided all services including tree lawn landscape architecture which was developed in conjunction with the City.
Linksview Park
The design of the Johnstown Plaza community lends itself well to promoting a very walkable community with high quality landscaping. Connectivity among buildings and tenant amenities is provided on site, with direct access to each retail user, as well as pedestrian connections to Ronald Reagan Boulevard, Exposition Drive, and the included open space and amenities. Our scope was full service and included the development of Scheel’s, Ulta, Hobby Lobby, At Home, multiple shops, buildings and lots. Site design also included extensive landscaping, monumentation, and featured sculptures.
Ledge Rock Center - Highway 60
Prior to the inception of Ledge Rock Center CDOT identified the Highway 60 Corridor and interchange for expansion and development. In 2020 the new double diamond interchange was started by CDOT. The expansion of the highway related to this work and Ledge Rock is nearly one and half miles east of the interchange. Our main signalized intersection expands from an existing three lanes to eight lanes. Due to the rapid development of the area, we met weekly with stakeholders, the Town and CDOT during the design and construction of phase 1. We anticipate a full build out of the improvements over the next three years.
Ledge Rock Center - Sanitary Sewer Outfall
You know what they say, it all flows downhill. The regional development of Ledge Rock Center triggered the need for a regional sanitary sewer outfall, including the system design, all easements and right of way for the 1.5 miles system. In addition to the needs of the pending development we also needed to anticipate an additional 640 acres of future development.
44th & Kipling - Sanitary Sewer Upsizing
44th & Kipling, also known as Station Subdivision, is located at the northeast corner of 44th & Kipling in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. The project was initially provided a will-serve letter from the sanitary district that the development would connect to but as plans progressed Point and the Developer received notice from them that the outfall system was at capacity for approximately 1.5 miles downstream from the site. The District Engineer’s schedule didn’t meet the Station Subdivision desired timeline so Point jumped in and provided Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) for the 1.5 mile alignment. This included street topography, QLA (potholes) and QLB (surface marking) utility locates and full pipe as-builts of the existing system to be upsized.
